EuroSea will take part in the AtlantECO webinar on Ocean Literacy, taking place on 11 June 2021.
This virtual event that will convene scientists, educators, NGO leaders, and Ocean Literacy professionals to discuss how Ocean Literacy can be adapted to different cultures and contexts in the Atlantic region. The programme features key principles for impactful Ocean Literacy and invited speakers will provide examples from existing successful initiatives from around the Atlantic.
EuroSea Work Package 8 leader Dina Eparkhina will showcase the Ocean Literacy activities of the European oceanographic community and share the recommendations of the new EuroGOOS policy brief ‘Ocean Literacy in European Oceanographic Agencies – EuroGOOS recommendations for the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030’ (URL).
